Class Sign Ups
Sign up for classes cuts off 6 hours before the class starts. You must book your spot in advance to attend class. We cannot guarantee space for walk ins.

Cancellations
Please cancel your class through your momence account. If you cancel less than 12 hours before your class, you will lose your class credit. If you have extenuating circumstances, please still cancel through your account and contact us.

Respect

Cell Phones
We ask that you avoid using phones during class time. At the end of class, we have “play” time where cell phones are encouraged. Photos and videos can be helpful to see what you are working on, track progress, and show the world how amazing you are!

Student teaching
Please allow the instructor to be in charge. Refrain from student teaching and interrupting.

Levels
Please do not try moves that are above your skill level without permission. If you feel that you are ready to move up, please review our
prerequisites and talk with an instructor. Our goal is to maintain a safe environment for all.

Arrivals
We have a five-minute grace period. We ask that you do not come later than that as you will miss the warm-up and disrupt the class. If you're running late please give us a call to let the instructor know.

Ask for what you need
Please communicate injuries, disabilities, etc. There is no shame in asking for a spot or another mat.

Refunds
We do not offer refunds.

Age requirements
16+ for most classes. If your child is younger than 16, check out
Aerial Spirit. We are partnered with them to offer an outstanding Youth Program.

frequently asked questions

  • Please wear athletic clothing, preferably something tight or form fitting. Leggings and a comfortable shirt that covers your midsection are great! Hair should be tied up or back if possible.

Avoid zippers or jewelry that could tear the silks.

No shoes on equipment. You can wear socks if you want, but silks and slings are more difficult with socks so we recommend being barefoot.

Loose clothing, jewelry, shoes, and other items could not only damage the equipment but also make it harder for you and increase the possibility of getting stuck.

  • A water bottle and phone. We have water to refill bottles if needed,

Grip aid if you want it. The studio also has grip aid available.

  • Yes!

Our instructors are all trained, insured, and CPR certified. Our equipment and rigging is professionally designed and installed, and it is weighted for over 1000 pounds.

We take mental and physical safety and security very seriously.

  • If you’ve never done aerial we recommend the Intro to Aerial class or intro to a specific apparatus class that will help you and your body get used to the equipment and teach you the basic vocabulary you'll need to move forward.

If you are a visiting aerialist, please reach out to us. You can send a video of a recent practice for an instructor to evaluate and recommend a specific level.

  • Yes! We are committed to working with people no matter their body limitations. We have modifications, tips, and tricks for lots of different body types and abilities.

If you would like specific information about working with your disability, please email us.

Otherwise, please be sure to include any limitations when signing up so we can prep equipment ahead of time.

  • We are committed to working with people no matter their body limitations. We have modifications, tips, and tricks for lots of different body types and abilities.

All equipment is weighted for over 1000 pounds.

  • We don't blame you! Trying something new (and especially something like this) is always scary. We want you to be comfortable at all times.

Everyone starts pretty close to the ground. You always have the option to go higher or lower if you’d like.

If you feel afraid, you can stop and try again later or leave it for another class.

Instructors will work with you and make sure you still get plenty of time on the equipment.

Our instructors know how to spot people of all body types.

All instructors have been (or are currently) trained for permission spotting. This means that all spotting and physical touch comes with communication and consent.

  • Nope! Our owner started out with zero upper body strength.

Coming to class will help you to develop upper body strength and other helpful muscle groups. We also train on grip, which is often more important than strength.

Most of the more flexible moves are upper level, everything else is based on angles. You will develop more flexibility as you take classes.

Regardless of your strength or flexibility you will still be able to participate in class. We have lots of modifications as well.

  • It depends on the injury. We don't want you to make an injury worse, but we also know how much you may want to get back in the air. Email us and talk with your instructor. Depending on the severity of the injury we can work on reasonable modifications or you may need a doctor's note to continue attending classes.

  • We are committed to creating safe spaces where everyone feels comfortable so generally, we do not permit spectators unless we are doing specific performance classes.

If consent is provided by all students in the class, consideration will be taken.

  • We will generally refer to you doctor on this and recommend you show them videos of moves or activities you have done in the past. Your safety is of the utmost importance and we don't want to jeopardize you or your pregnancy in any way. While many aerialists have continued working while pregnant, it isn't necessarily something you should start for the first time while pregnant. If you're post-partum and have your doctor's approval you can definitely start taking classes again or for the first time, just be sure to let your instructor know so we can make sure you're safe. If you're still interested in taking classes, consider taking an Air Pilates class! You will stay much closer to the ground and it will give you a little bit of a zero-gravity work out, plus the 10-minute meditation at the end is amazing!
